Weddings · Officer
Officer sits right next to Beaconsfield, so we are only a few minutes away. An early start for a morning puja or a late finish after a sangeet is easy for us to manage, and that flexibility shows on the day.
We are Jay and Yesha, the husband-and-wife team behind J Y Productions. We have been photographing and filming weddings since 2018, we speak English, Hindi and Gujarati, and our recent work is on Instagram at @j.y_productions and on our YouTube channel.
Officer is growing fast, with new parks and open spaces that give a fresh, uncluttered look to portraits. A hilltop lookout at golden hour or a quiet wetland walk can be a lovely break between the ceremony and the reception.
We plan the day around your rituals and family, and fit portraits in wherever the light is best.
What being next door means for your wedding:
The lookout and wetlands in Officer are also great for a pre-wedding session. See our Officer pre-wedding guide.
Not sure whether you need video? Think about what you will want to relive in ten years: the speeches, the dhol, your grandmother dancing. If those matter, add film. Photo and video coverage comes with a 3 to 4 minute highlight film within 8 weeks, and there are examples on our YouTube channel.
A lookout at golden hour gives a sense of space that looks beautiful in a highlight film.
Tell us your wedding date, where the celebrations are happening and whether you want photos, film or both. Reach us through the contact page, on +61 435 222 666 or at Hello@jyproductions.com.au. Studio hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 7pm.
Booking: after a call to go through your plans, a 10% retainer holds your date.
Delivery: a sneak peek within 2 days, the full gallery within 14 days and the highlight film within 8 weeks.
Coverage: photography, film and drone coverage, with a team of 5 for big events.
Most couples lock in their photographer 9 to 12 months out. Popular wedding months go quickly, and if you are planning a haldi, mehndi and sangeet before the ceremony, every one of those dates needs to be available.
A rough running order is enough to start. We refine it together closer to the day.
Being so close, we are often able to cover extra home functions in the days before the wedding.
Officer District Park on Lansell Avenue is a Cardinia Shire park with a hilltop lookout and accessible paths. The view stretches over southern Cardinia, which gives a sense of space many suburban backdrops lack. It is being built in stages, so we check what is open before your date.
Aspect Wetlands at the corner of Bridge Road and Cardinia Road has a path network, a frog pond and plenty of birdlife.
These are nearby public places couples consider; we are not claiming past shoots at either.
The paths to the lookout are accessible, so most couples manage it easily, even in a lehenga.
