Weddings · Berwick
Berwick is about 10 minutes from our Beaconsfield studio, so for a Berwick wedding we are practically local. That closeness helps on long, multi-function days, when a short drive between home, temple and venue gives you more time for photos and less time watching the clock.
J Y Productions is Jay and Yesha, a married couple who founded the business in 2018. We understand family rituals because they are ours too, and we work in English, Hindi and Gujarati. See recent weddings on @j.y_productions and wedding films on our YouTube channel.
Berwick has gardens, heritage spaces and green open areas within a few minutes of each other, which makes it easy to fit a portrait session between the ceremony and the reception without losing half the afternoon in traffic.
We plan the day with you in advance: where you are getting ready, when each ritual happens, and where we can steal twenty minutes for portraits in good light.
What that closeness means for your wedding:
Berwick is also a lovely place for a pre-wedding session, with lakes, lookouts and quieter walking trails. See our Berwick pre-wedding guide.
Photography on its own suits couples who mostly want an album and a gallery. Adding film means you also get a 3 to 4 minute highlight film, delivered within 8 weeks, that captures the sound and movement of the day. A few of our wedding films are on our YouTube channel.
With several locations in one day, film helps you remember how it all fitted together, from the first ritual to the last dance.
Tell us your wedding date, where the celebrations are happening and whether you want photos, film or both. Reach us through the contact page, on +61 435 222 666 or at Hello@jyproductions.com.au. Studio hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 7pm.
How booking works: enquire, have a call with us, pay a 10% retainer, and your date is held.
Your photos and film: sneak peek within 2 days, full gallery within 14 days, highlight video within 8 weeks.
Extras: printed albums designed with you, and a second shooter for multi-location days.
We suggest booking 9 to 12 months before your wedding, especially for popular months. Wedding dates fill up early, and multi-day celebrations need even more planning.
Once your venues and running order are clear, send them through. It does not need to be final; we will adjust it with you as the day gets closer.
If you are hoping to use a popular Berwick venue, it is worth confirming your photographer soon after the venue.
The Old Cheese Factory on Homestead Road is a City of Casey venue with gardens and function spaces that couples often consider for ceremonies and receptions.
Wilson Botanic Park on the Princes Highway is a former basalt quarry turned into a 39 hectare botanic park, with Anniversary Lake, Basalt Lake and the Hoo Hoo Lookout Tower.
Sweeney Reserve, at the Berwick end of the Hallam Valley Trail, has wetlands and open grass for a quieter, less formal look.
We mention these as places couples consider, not as places we claim to have shot. Wilson Botanic Park has set opening hours and its own conditions of entry, so we always check them for your date.
Many couples consider it. We check the park’s hours and conditions of entry for your date before we plan a stop there.
It depends on your timeline. We will suggest a realistic window when we go through your running order.
Yes, drone coverage is part of our wedding coverage, as long as the venue and local rules allow it.
