Pre-wedding · Cranbourne
Cranbourne has a backdrop you will not find anywhere else in Melbourne: a native garden with red sand, eucalypts and wide bush views. It takes a little planning, and we help with that, but the colours are worth it. For something easier, there is roomy parkland nearby too.
We are Jay and Yesha, the husband-and-wife team behind J Y Productions. We started the business in 2018, we work from Beaconsfield in South-East Melbourne, and we speak English, Hindi and Gujarati. Recent couple sessions are on our Instagram, @j.y_productions.
Native gardens have warm reds, silvery greens and big skies, which look wonderful with rich jewel-tone outfits or crisp whites. Parkland gives a lighter, more playful feel, perfect if you want to bring friends along for a few photos.
We talk through both options with you and handle the planning questions early.

We usually suggest choosing one main location and doing it well, rather than racing between three. A single spot with a few different corners gives plenty of variety and keeps the session relaxed.
In Cranbourne, jewel tones pop against red sand and eucalypts, while pastels suit open lawns.
For outfits, think about contrast with the backdrop: rich colours against green, soft pastels against water, bold colour against street art.
Think of it as an evening out together that happens to be photographed. We arrive early in Cranbourne to check the light, then meet you with a simple plan: a warm-up, a few classic portraits, then candid walking and talking shots. Bring water and comfortable shoes for the walk between spots, and save the fancy shoes for the frames.
Send us your ideas for Cranbourne, your wedding date and the look you love. Use the enquiry form, call +61 435 222 666 or email Hello@jyproductions.com.au. We reply within 24 to 48 hours.
How booking works: enquire, talk it through with us, pay a 10% retainer, and the date is yours.
Timing: sneak peek within 2 days, full gallery within 14 days.
Plan your session two to six months before the wedding. That leaves time to use the photos on invitations or at the reception, and to tweak anything about your wedding day plan after seeing how you like to be photographed.
If the Cranbourne Gardens are your choice, allow time for the permit process before your preferred date.
The Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Cranbourne Gardens is home to the Australian Garden, the Eucalypt Walk and surrounding bushland. It is a place many couples consider. A permit is required for professional photography, drones are not allowed for visitors, and the Red Sand Garden is not walk-through.
Casey Fields in Cranbourne East is a big council parkland with a Village Green, a duck pond and a fitness trail. It is a relaxed choice for a session that is more about fun than formality.
These are public places couples often consider; we are not claiming past shoots at either.
Professional photography there requires a permit. We help you check the current process early.
Yes. It is a council park with lots of open space. We check current council guidance for photography before your date.
Yes. Photo and film are both available for pre-wedding sessions.
A sneak peek within 2 days and the full gallery within 14 days.
Often, yes, depending on the location. Some parks do not allow dogs, so we check when we plan.
