Choosing your look

Golden hour, the last hour or so before sunset, is our favourite time for pre-wedding sessions. The light is warm and soft, and everyone looks good in it. Early mornings are lovely too, with quieter parks.

In Clyde North, earthy tones and soft pastels sit beautifully against the reeds and water.

Bring a traditional outfit and a casual one if you want two very different feels in your gallery.

On the day

Think of it as an evening out together that happens to be photographed. We arrive early in Clyde North to check the light, then meet you with a simple plan: a warm-up, a few classic portraits, then candid walking and talking shots. Bring water and comfortable shoes for the walk between spots, and save the fancy shoes for the frames.

When to book

We suggest booking your pre-wedding session at the same time as your wedding coverage, then choosing a date a few months before the big day. Autumn colours and spring blossom are popular, so get in early if you have a season in mind.

Late afternoon is best at the wetlands, so we plan around sunset times for your date.

Around Clyde North

Cascades on Clyde Wetlands on Linsell Boulevard has walking tracks and boardwalks over the water.

The City of Casey wetlands along Linsell Boulevard have flat paths through reed beds and native planting. In the late afternoon, the reeds catch the light and glow.

A short drive away, Casey Fields in Cranbourne East offers open lawns and a duck pond.
