This is where we are. Our studio is in Beaconsfield, kept warm, and set up properly for newborns — backdrops, wraps, props and lighting already here, so you don’t have to bring or arrange anything. Studio sessions are $550, or we come to you anywhere in Melbourne for $650. Both include 20–30 fully edited photographs and a 30-second highlight film.

Inside the studio
It’s a small, private space rather than a commercial shopfront, and most parents tell us that’s the part they liked. There’s no waiting room, no session before or after yours, nobody else in the building. It’s just the four of us and however long your baby needs.
What’s already here, so you don’t have to pack it:
- A range of backdrops and colours, from clean neutrals to deeper tones
- Wraps, bonnets, headbands and layering fabrics in multiple sizes
- Newborn posing supports, beanbag and props
- Maternity gowns in several sizes; you’re welcome to use ours or bring your own
- A heater that runs well above normal room temperature, because warm babies sleep
- Somewhere private and comfortable to feed
- Space for grandparents and siblings to sit without being in the frame
What to bring: nappies, wipes, a spare outfit, a dummy if your baby uses one, and anything sentimental you’d like photographed; a blanket knitted by someone, a hospital tag, a piece of jewellery. That’s genuinely it.

Our honest recommendation: studio for maternity and cake smash, home for newborn. Cake smashes in particular are worth doing here - buttercream ends up further from the baby than anyone expects, and in the studio that's our problem rather than your carpet.

Drone coverage: Included in all packages, not sold as an upgrade.
Booking: A 10% non-refundable retainer secures your date; the balance is due on or before the shoot.
Delivery: A sneak peek within 2 days and your full gallery within 14 days. Longer event films take up to 8 weeks.
When to book
Maternity: 28 to 34 weeks. If you’re expecting twins or have been told you may deliver early, aim for 26 to 30.
Newborn: The first 5 to 14 days. Babies this young still curl into those tucked-up shapes and sleep through most of the session. Book at 20 to 30 weeks pregnant; we hold a window rather than a fixed date and confirm the day once your baby arrives.
Being based in Beaconsfield helps here more than it sounds. Babies rarely arrive when anyone planned, and when you’re local we can usually shift a session by a day or two without it becoming a problem.
Cake smash: 11 to 12 months, ideally shot before the party so your images are ready for it.
Around Beaconsfield
Not every session happens indoors. For maternity and family shoots we use Beaconsfield Reserve and Holm Park Recreation Reserve, both a couple of minutes from the studio and both good in the last hour before sunset. Cardinia Creek gives you water and treeline without much of a walk.
The advantage of shooting this close to home is that we can start indoors and step outside if the light turns good, without anybody committing to a drive.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where exactly is the studio and where do we park?
We’re in Beaconsfield, and we send the full address and parking directions when you book.
How long does a session take?
Two to three hours for newborns, because feeds, changes and settling are part of the plan rather than an interruption. Maternity and cake smash sessions usually run one to two hours.
Do we need to bring anything?
Nappies, wipes, a spare outfit, and anything sentimental you’d like in the photos. Backdrops, wraps, props and maternity gowns are all here.
What if our baby won’t settle?
That’s normal and we plan for it. Nobody is watching a clock. In three years of newborn sessions we’ve never had one we couldn’t finish.
Can grandparents and older kids come?
Yes. Tell us who’s coming when you book so we can plan the groupings — and there’s room for people to sit out of frame while they wait.
What if we’d rather you came to us?
In-home sessions in Beaconsfield are $650 and we’re minutes away. For newborns in the first fortnight, most families choose this.
