Maternity Photographer in Officer

If you live in Officer, our Beaconsfield studio is only a few minutes away. It is one of the shortest trips any of our families make, and it means you can choose between a studio session, a home session or a local outdoor spot without having to think about travel at all.

J Y Productions is the two of us, Jay and Yesha. We founded the business in 2018 and have been photographing and filming families ever since, and we are happy to chat in English, Hindi or Gujarati, whichever feels easiest for your family. Maternity sessions in Officer

Officer is still growing, and its newer parks have a fresh, open feel. Wetlands with reeds and birdlife give soft natural frames. A hilltop lookout gives a sense of space and big skies at golden hour. Both suit a flowing dress and a relaxed, unposed style.

We guide you every step of the way, from where to place your hands to how to stand so the light falls on your bump. If you have never been photographed professionally before, that is completely fine.

What an Officer session looks like:

  • The studio is minutes away, so switching indoors because of the weather is easy.
  • Accessible paths lead to the lookout, which makes golden-hour views manageable late in pregnancy.
  • Your partner and any big brothers or sisters can join in. A few family frames are part of the plan, not an afterthought.
  • We stop whenever you need to. Pregnancy is tiring, and the session moves at your pace.
  • The session is timed for 34 to 36 weeks, which is when your bump really shows while you are still comfortable on your feet.
  • Not sure what to wear? Send us your ideas and we will help you choose colours and fabrics that photograph softly.

Newborn photos in Officer

When the baby arrives, we can photograph them in the studio a few minutes down the road or at your home. See our Officer newborn and family guide.

Wetlands, lookout, home or studio?

Choose the wetlands for a soft, natural look, or the lookout if you love wide skies and a sense of height. Both are lovely late in the day.

Because the studio is so close, many Officer mums keep it as their wet-weather plan, or simply choose it for a clean, classic look.

Why mums choose our maternity sessions

  • Poses that flatter your bump without feeling stiff.
  • Help choosing between gowns, sarees and simple knits.
  • Room for the whole family, grandparents included.
  • A sneak peek within 2 days.

Book your session

Send us your due date and where you would like to shoot, and we will check availability for Officer. Use the enquiry form, email Hello@jyproductions.com.au or call +61 435 222 666. Studio hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 7pm, and we aim to reply within 24 to 48 hours.

Booking and delivery

Securing your date: we talk through the plan, then a 10% retainer holds the date for you.

Included: 20 to 30 edited photos and a 30-second film.

When you see them: a sneak peek within 2 days, then your complete gallery within 14 days.

When to book

Plan your maternity photos for 34 to 36 weeks. It is the stretch where the shape of your bump is at its best and you still have the energy for a relaxed session. Booking early in your pregnancy gives you the widest choice of dates, which matters if you are set on a spring session.

For newborn photos, the sweet spot is the first 5 to 14 days after birth. Let us know at around 20 to 30 weeks and we will hold a window around your due date rather than a single fixed day.

Living this close to the studio also makes it easy to pick a backup date if the forecast looks wild.

Around Officer

Aspect Wetlands, on the corner of Bridge Road and Cardinia Road, has a network of paths beside the water, with reeds and birdlife that make soft, natural backgrounds.

Officer District Park on Lansell Avenue has a hilltop lookout reached by accessible paths, with views over southern Cardinia. The park is being built in stages, so we check what is open close to your session.

These are nearby public places families might consider. We are not claiming past shoots at either.

Why families book us

  • Photo and film together. A 30-second film comes with every maternity session, so you have something that moves as well as your gallery.
  • A quick first look. A sneak peek within 2 days and your full gallery within 14 days.
  • Here since 2018. We founded J Y Productions in 2018 and have been photographing growing families across the south-east ever since.
  • An accessible studio. Our Beaconsfield studio is accessible for people with physical disabilities, which helps when grandparents come along.
  • A team of two. Jay and Yesha work together. One of us watches the light and the frame while the other keeps the mood easy and helps you settle into poses that feel natural rather than held.

Frequently asked questions

Is Officer District Park fully open?

It is being built in stages. We check which areas are open before your session.

Is the lookout a steep walk?

The paths to the lookout are accessible, so most mums manage it comfortably at their own pace.

Can we book maternity and newborn sessions together?

Yes. Many families book both at once, and it means we can hold a newborn window around your due date early. See the newborn and family page for how newborn sessions work.

What should I wear?

Something that shows the shape of your bump. Fitted dresses, flowing gowns and soft knits all work, and a saree or lehenga photographs beautifully if you want a traditional look. Bring two outfits if you like, and send us photos beforehand if you are unsure.

Do you photograph baby showers too?

Yes. We photograph and film baby showers and gender reveals as well, so if a godh bharai or shower is on the calendar, ask us about covering it.

Expecting in Officer? Get in touch and tell us your due date. More on our maternity photography page, or see Locations We Cover.
