Weddings · Cranbourne
Cranbourne is home to a nationally known native garden and plenty of open parkland, which gives couples some genuinely different portrait options. We are a short drive away in Beaconsfield and cover Cranbourne weddings from the first ritual to the last dance.
We are Jay and Yesha, the husband-and-wife team behind J Y Productions. We have been photographing and filming weddings since 2018, we speak English, Hindi and Gujarati, and our recent work is on Instagram at @j.y_productions and on our YouTube channel.
Native gardens have warm, earthy tones that look stunning with rich wedding colours. Open lawns suit a relaxed set of portraits with the bridal party. We help you decide which suits your outfits and timeline.
Some spots need a little planning, such as permits, so we talk about portrait locations early and make sure everything is sorted before the day.
What to expect for a Cranbourne wedding:
Cranbourne’s gardens and parks also work beautifully for a pre-wedding session. See our Cranbourne pre-wedding guide.
Photography on its own suits couples who mostly want an album and a gallery. Adding film means you also get a 3 to 4 minute highlight film, delivered within 8 weeks, that captures the sound and movement of the day. A few of our wedding films are on our YouTube channel.
Garden portraits look lovely on film too, especially with a gentle breeze in a veil or dupatta.
Message us with your dates and a rough plan for each function. We reply within 24 to 48 hours with availability for Cranbourne. You can enquire online, call +61 435 222 666 or email Hello@jyproductions.com.au.
Booking: after a call to go through your plans, a 10% retainer holds your date.
Delivery: a sneak peek within 2 days, the full gallery within 14 days and the highlight film within 8 weeks.
Coverage: photography, film and drone coverage, with a team of 5 for big events.
Nine to twelve months ahead is the sweet spot for booking wedding coverage. If your celebrations run across several days, earlier is better, because we need every date open.
Share a draft timeline as soon as you have one. It helps us plan coverage for each function and spot any clashes early.
If the Cranbourne Gardens are on your wish list, allow time for the permit process when you plan your booking.
The Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Cranbourne Gardens on Ballarto Road is home to the Australian Garden, with the Red Sand Garden, the Eucalypt Walk and bushland around it. It is a place many couples consider for portraits. A permit is required for wedding photography, drones are not allowed for visitors, and the Red Sand Garden is not walk-through.
Casey Fields in Cranbourne East is a large council parkland with a Village Green, a duck pond and walking paths. It is relaxed, roomy and good for a casual set of portraits with the bridal party.
These are public places couples often consider; we are not claiming past shoots at either.
Yes, a permit is required for wedding photography there. We help you check the current process early.
No, it is not walk-through. There are still plenty of lovely spots around it.
A sneak peek within 2 days, the full gallery within 14 days and the highlight video within 8 weeks.
Yes. We design printed keepsake albums with you after the wedding.
Yes, drone coverage is part of our wedding coverage, as long as the venue and local rules allow it.
