Maternity sessions in Berwick

Berwick has lovely green spaces close to home, and a lot of mums want their maternity photos to feel like a slow walk rather than a formal shoot. We keep it relaxed. We walk a little, stop where the light is best, and guide you into poses that show off your bump without feeling stiff.

Because we are so close, we can be flexible with timing. If you are tired in the afternoon, we can shoot earlier in the day. If you want the soft light just before sunset, we plan around that instead. Either way, you are never far from home when it is over.

Studio session or outdoors?

Berwick is close enough to Beaconsfield that both options work easily. Our honest view: choose outdoors if you love natural colour and the look of a flowing gown in the breeze, and choose the studio if you prefer a cleaner, more classic style or your due date falls in the middle of winter.

Home is an option too, especially if you want a few frames in the nursery before the baby arrives.

The easiest way to start is to tell us your due date and whether you are leaning towards the studio, your home or a spot around Berwick. Booking and delivery

How booking works: enquire, have a short call with us, then pay a 10% retainer and your date is held.

Your gallery: 20 to 30 edited photos plus a 30-second film.

Timing: sneak peek within 2 days, full gallery within 14 days.

When to book

Maternity: 34 to 36 weeks is the window we plan for. The bump is clearly there and you are usually still comfortable walking and changing outfits. Get in touch in your second trimester so we can hold a date for you, especially if you have a particular golden-hour in mind.

Newborn: if you would like newborn photos too, mention it at the same time. Newborn sessions work best in the first 5 to 14 days, and we like to hear from you at around 20 to 30 weeks so we can hold a window around your due date.

For Berwick families, the extra flexibility of being close by also means we can usually work around the odd day when you simply do not feel up to it.

Around Berwick

Wilson Botanic Park is the local favourite for many families. It has two lakes, more than a thousand plant species and a rose garden, which gives a soft wash of colour behind a long dress. The park keeps set hours that change with daylight saving, so we always check them for your date.

Berwick Springs Park, just over the border in Narre Warren South, has flat, paved paths around its lake. Late in pregnancy, flat ground is a real bonus, and the water gives you gentle reflections on a still evening.

These are public places nearby that families often consider; we are not claiming past shoots at either.

Is Wilson Botanic Park a good place for maternity photos?

Many families consider it because of the lakes and gardens. It has its own opening hours and conditions of entry, and we check those with you before we lock in a time.

Do you come to homes in Berwick?

Yes. Home sessions are a good choice if you want photos in the nursery or simply prefer to stay put.

What should I wear?

Something that shows the shape of your bump. Fitted dresses, flowing gowns and soft knits all work, and a saree or lehenga photographs beautifully if you want a traditional look. Bring two outfits if you like, and send us photos beforehand if you are unsure.
