Newborn & Family · Narre Warren
Our studio is around 15 minutes from Narre Warren, depending on traffic. That makes it easy to offer you a home session, a studio session or a family session at a local park, whichever fits your family best.
J Y Productions is Jay and Yesha, a married couple who started the business in 2018. Between us we speak English, Hindi and Gujarati, which helps when grandparents come to meet the baby. Our newest newborn work is on Instagram at @j.y_productions_motherhood.
With newborns, we are gentle and patient. We work around feeds, settle the baby between setups and keep everything calm. For home sessions, we only need a bright corner and a little space.
Big families are welcome. We plan outfits and groupings with you beforehand, so the session flows and nobody is left waiting.
What a Narre Warren session looks like:
For family photos, local reserves with playgrounds keep little ones busy and happy. A happy toddler is the secret to a good family photo.
For newborns, home saves you the trip and the photos feel personal. The studio is calm and set up, which some parents prefer.
For a big family with lots of outfits, we find home sessions run more smoothly because everything is on hand.
Message us with your due date and a little about your family, including any big brothers, sisters or pets. We will come back within 24 to 48 hours with options for Narre Warren. You can enquire online, call +61 435 222 666 or email Hello@jyproductions.com.au.
Securing your spot: we talk through the plan, then a 10% retainer holds it.
Included: 20 to 30 edited photos and a 30-second film, with parents and siblings in the frame.
When you see them: a sneak peek within 2 days, then the full gallery within 14 days.
We photograph newborns in their first 5 to 14 days, while they are still sleepy and curled up. The best time to contact us is at around 20 to 30 weeks, so we can keep a flexible window open around your due date rather than guessing at a single day.
Planning ahead for the first year? Milestone portraits suit 6 to 10 months, and a cake smash suits 11 to 12 months.
If you are planning a family session in a park later, spring and autumn usually give the most comfortable weather for kids.
Ray Bastin Reserve, at the corner of Norfolk Drive and Cranbourne Road, has a redeveloped playground, nature-based play areas and paths, ideal for keeping little ones busy.
Berwick Springs Park in Narre Warren South has lakes, playgrounds and paved paths that suit prams.
These are public places nearby families often consider; we are not claiming past shoots at either.
Pick a small colour palette and let each person choose within it. Solid colours and soft textures work best, and traditional outfits for grandparents can add a meaningful touch.
Yes. The paths at Berwick Springs Park are paved and suit prams.
Usually 2 to 3 hours, because feeds, nappy changes and settling are built into that time rather than treated as interruptions.
No. We need one spot with decent window light and a bit of floor or bed space.
Yes, and we encourage it. Let us know who is coming when you book so we can plan the groupings in advance.
