Newborn & Family · Cranbourne
Cranbourne families have space: big parks, wide lawns and room for kids to run. That shapes how we approach sessions here. Newborns stay warm and cosy indoors, and family sessions head outside where everyone can relax.
Behind J Y Productions are Jay and Yesha. We founded the business in 2018, our studio is in Beaconsfield, South-East Melbourne, and we are happy to chat in English, Hindi or Gujarati. For a look at recent newborn sessions, visit @j.y_productions_motherhood.
For the newborn stage, we come to your home in Cranbourne or welcome you to our Beaconsfield studio, a short drive away. We keep the room warm, follow your baby’s rhythm and capture the small details along with the family frames.
If you have older children, we photograph them first while their patience is fresh, then give them a simple job like holding the baby’s hand. A small treat for afterwards never hurts.
What to expect from a Cranbourne session:
Once your baby is a little older, an outdoor family session in a big, open park is hard to beat. Kids can run, parents can relax, and we capture the moments in between.
If your home is quiet and has a bright room, a home session saves you the drive. If there is a lot happening at home, the studio gives you a calm space for an hour or two.
Our honest view: home for the first days, then a park session as the baby grows.
Tell us your due date, or your baby’s birthday if they have already arrived, and whether you would like a studio or home session. Reach us through the contact page, on +61 435 222 666 or at Hello@jyproductions.com.au. We are in the studio Monday to Friday, 10am to 7pm, and reply within 24 to 48 hours.
How booking works: enquire, have a quick call with us, then a 10% retainer secures your booking.
Your gallery: 20 to 30 edited photos plus a 30-second film.
Timing: sneak peek within 2 days, complete gallery within 14 days.
Aim for the first 5 to 14 days after birth. That is when newborns sleep deeply and fold into those tiny poses parents love. Reach out at 20 to 30 weeks pregnant and we will pencil in a window around your due date, then lock in the day once your baby is here.
Later milestones work too: 6 to 10 months for sitting-up portraits and 11 to 12 months for a cake smash.
If you want a family session at the Cranbourne Gardens later, leave a little extra time to sort out the permit.
Casey Fields in Cranbourne East is a big parkland with a Village Green, a playground, picnic areas and a duck pond. There is plenty of space for kids to run, which makes for natural, happy photos.
The Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Cranbourne Gardens on Ballarto Road is another place families think about. Professional photography there needs a permit, so we help you check the current process first.
These are public places nearby; we are not claiming past shoots at either.
Somewhere open with a playground nearby, so little ones have a reason to stay happy. Casey Fields is one local park families often consider.
Of course. The Beaconsfield studio is a short drive away.
Yes. Many families book maternity and newborn sessions together. See our maternity photography page for how maternity sessions work.
20 to 30 edited photos plus a 30-second film. A sneak peek arrives within 2 days and the full gallery within 14 days.
Usually 2 to 3 hours, because feeds, nappy changes and settling are built into that time rather than treated as interruptions.
